Job summary

Thales is offering a five-year Apprenticeship Programme at Templecombe to develop Manufacturing Engineers who will study towards a Level 6 Manufacturing Engineer qualification with Yeovil College. The scheme combines on-site training with college studies, culminating in a Level 6 apprenticeship and a potential Industrial Process Engineer role within the Underwater Systems business.

You will attend college on a day-release basis for years 1–4 and work 100% in year 5.

Qualifications

• 2 A Levels with Maths at grade C or higher and one other STEM subject
• 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including English and Maths
• Or 90+ credit BTEC Diploma in Engineering (MM)
• Applicants with a relevant degree are not eligible for this apprenticeship

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing skills to become a confident industrial process engineer
• Support manufacturing solutions to meet customer requirements
• Assist in defining and optimising manufacturing documentation, tools and workflows
