A leading aerospace and aviation manufacturer in Wales is looking for a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer. This role involves supporting day-to-day assembly and test activities, handling new product introductions, and interfacing with various departments. Ideal candidates will have aerospace sector experience and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Qualifications

  • Experience in a Manufacturing Engineering position, especially in Aerospace and Defense sector.

  • Experience with tool and fixture design, quotation, and implementation.

  • Support day-to-day activities of assembly, test, and development departments.
  • New product introduction from concept to manufacturing.
  • Interface between supporting departments and manufacturing.
  • Address technical issues in manufacturing.

Job description

Position: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Deeside, Flintshire Job Type: Permanent / Onsite

My client, a leader in the aerospace and aviation manufacturing sector are on the hunt for a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to join the team!

Role and Responsibilities – In this role, you will be working within a tight knit team to support all day-to-day activities of the assembly, test and development departments.

Other responsibilities include:

  • New product introduction from initial bid, design reviews, equipment specification, shop floor layout through to final pass off to manufacturing
  • Tool and fixture design, quotation and implementation
  • Key interface between supporting departments, and manufacturing including. Quality, Engineering and Planning
  • Supporting manufacturing with technical issues, e.g. design, documentation, specifications etc.

Experience or Qualifications –

  • Experience in a Manufacturing Engineering position with Aerospace and Defense sector
  • Proven experience of the manufacture (Assembly & Test) of hydro-mechanical equipment and products or other manufactured engineering products.
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related subject
  • Experience in CAD (ideally SOLDWORKS)
