Job description

We're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support the development, improvement and scaling of manufacturing processes across a varied product range. This is a hands-on role based in a fast-paced production environment where safety, quality and compliance are non-negotiable.

You'll be working closely with design, engineering and production teams to ensure processes are safe, effective and ready for manufacture. You'll also lead on continuous improvement work, risk assessments, and production readiness, playing a key role in making sure the business can deliver high-quality product at scale.

Key responsibilities:

  • Designing and improving production processes and layouts
  • Leading risk assessments and supporting trials work
  • Reviewing existing processes using tools like FMEA and statistical analysis
  • Investigating root causes and leading corrective actions
  • Writing clear work instructions, training plans and production documentation
  • Supporting material and supplier changes from a technical standpoint
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure production readiness
  • Ensuring all process changes follow agreed procedures and are fully documented
  • Preparing technical reports and presenting findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Key skills:

  • Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical or General Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Lean tools
  • Familiarity with health & safety legislation and engineering change processes
