SALARY – £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer on a permanent basis in the Plymouth area with experience in the mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronics or similar assembly Manufacturing Industry. Your main responsibilities will be assisting with New Product / Process Introduction as well as continuous improvement projects across the business.

The Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  1. Qualified in a relevant Engineering / Manufacturing Degree with time served as an Engineer.
  2. Previous experience working as a Manufacturing, Process, Industrialisation, Production or similar Engineer role.
  3. Understanding of assembly, electronics or electromechanical manufacturing processes.
  4. Exposure to NPI or tooling / jigs and fixtures.
  5. Have the ability to communicate with other members of staff and management.
  6. Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  7. Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment would be beneficial but not essential.
  8. Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  9. Experience of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma would be advantageous.

The Manufacturing Engineer role will involve:

  1. Oversee and lead process improvement and continuous improvement projects within manufacturing.
  2. Liaise with other departments in NPI responsibilities such as tooling and fixtures as well as SOP writing.
  3. Offer assistance in day-to-day manufacturing issues that arise.
  4. Carrying out new process implementations.
  5. Helping to advise on factory layouts and new product introductions.
