A global manufacturer based in Manchester is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the business. The purpose for this role is to drive change to ensure that there are automated processes with the highest levels of productivity and efficiency. The business is going from strength to strength and is continuing to grow. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Manufacturing Engineer to make an impact at a business within an excellent industry.

Role Description

• Working with key internal stakeholders, build an automation strategy for the site
• Work within a small team with a focus on manufacturing transformation
• Support strategic projects to support global manufacturing supply chain
• Maintain effective collaboration with operational support teams
• Collaborate with NPI to drive best practice manufacturing engineering
• Develop and document business cases for investment projects. Once signed off manage and execute projects to improve productivity and reduce costs
• Comply with H&S Procedures
• Some global travel involved at this stage

Skills and Qualifications

• LEAN/Agile training, Six Sigma Qualification
• Understanding of manufacturing, inspection and test technologies
• Able to demonstrate experience of working within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of factory management systems, data management and integration, encompassing automation protocols, software and network
• Microsoft Office suite
• SAP
