Manufacturing Engineer

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer on an initial 12-month contract. The successful candidate will work within the unit & missile assembly manufacturing facility, focusing on ensuring products are built efficiently and within budget.

Details:

• Pay: £34 - £36 per hour via Umbrella
• Location: Stevenage
• Contract: Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week, 12 months
• IR35 Status: Inside
• Security Clearance: SC required; can start on BPSS

Responsibilities:

1. Compile and update Manufacturing Instructions.
2. Design, commission, and validate associated tooling.
3. Support industrial validation processes using FMEA, FAI, etc.
4. Resolve technical problems during manufacturing.
5. Manage route card changes due to rework activities.
6. Control configuration by implementing design modifications into manufacturing instructions.
7. Support Non-Conformance processes using SAP.

Essential Skills:

1. NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 apprenticeship or equivalent, or HNC in engineering with relevant experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in an engineering discipline.
3. Ability to interpret design drawings to produce manufacturing instructions for skilled and semi-skilled operators.
4. Experience with electronic sub-assembly manufacturing up to system level builds.
5. Knowledge of assembly processes for small/miniature electro-mechanical actuation systems.
6. Ability to work effectively within a team and understand customer requirements.
7. Familiarity with company processes and procedures.
8. Strong communication skills across various organizational levels.
