Job summary

Alexander Dennis Limited is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production, lead line-side improvements and drive cost-effective changes. You will work on day-to-day build issues, identify root causes, and implement practical improvements that enhance safety, quality and delivery.

You'll contribute to production readiness and NPI projects while leveraging your engineering background to sustain lean, efficient operations across the assembly lines.

• Experience with production change control, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll be right at the heart of production, using your manufacturing engineering expertise to support our lineside teams and help keep builds moving safely, efficiently, and to the right quality standard. You'll be the person who gets stuck into day-to-day build and process issues, works with others to understand the root cause, and turns practical ideas into improvements that make life easier for production teams and deliver real impact across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You'll also support production readiness, process changes, and NPI projects.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong mechanical or electrical technical knowledge, a practical mindset, and the confidence to investigate lineside issues, get to the root cause, and turn ideas into improvements that make a measurable difference to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Experience with production change control, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Bonus if you have:
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or formal process improvement experience
• Experience with CAD packages (Solid Edge / Teamcenter)
