Job description

Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Manufacturing Engineer - Detail Planner to join our proactive and innovative team.

Responsibilities
  • Create engineering instructions from design definitions directly linked to the production process.
  • Independently create instructions while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and quality of the engineering method and Bill of Materials.
  • Produce appropriate department documentation including:
    • Routings
    • BoM’s
    • MI’s
    • Installations, assemblies & detail manufacture
  • Implement and control changes to the product.
  • Perform non-complex project reporting and scheduling.
  • Provide informal technical support to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Contribute to the development of department processes, actively shaping operational efficiency.
  • Administer general office skills including spreadsheets/Microsoft packages.
  • Liaise with other technical departments.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to apply problem-solving techniques to routine situations or situations of moderate complexity under supervision.
  • Work within standardised procedures and practices; accuracy of tasks is impactful.
  • Ability to gather information & data to support build.
  • Plan and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Find and adopt best practices.
  • Good understanding of team integration to achieve objectives.
  • Work effectively in a team.
  • Good communication in English (oral & written) & interpersonal skills.
  • Recognise the limits of knowledge to seek specialist support when necessary.
  • Sufficient experience to identify all issues involved in their area of responsibility.
Experience
  • Understanding of the manufacturing processes used within the business.
  • Engineering Drawing Reading and Interpretation including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Access, understand and apply Quality and HS&E Management System documentation, e.g., Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments, etc.
  • Knowledge of business processes and procedures.
  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Experience working with PLM systems (Teamcenter).
  • Experience working with stakeholders typically inside the company.
