Job description

Reporting to the Head of Operations, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the design and implementation of the organization's production processes. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving the efficiency and quality of production processes to produce better products at lower costs, thereby increasing organizational profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure high standards of health, safety, environment, and product compliance.
  • Manage customer design changes through Kingspan's ECN process.
  • Design and implement new systems, equipment, and processes.
  • Analyze and report on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, machine availability, and waste management.
  • Oversee new tool transitions, including designing jigs and tooling, and liaising with toolmakers.
  • Review and optimize manufacturing costs and production efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Evaluate quality control processes and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Supervise technicians and shop-floor personnel.
  • Establish effective work sequences.
Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks/DraftSight or AutoCAD; ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience with NPI and customer specification interpretation.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication, and tool design.
  • 5+ years in a rotational moulding/automation environment (desirable).
