Job description

Lead Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Co. Armagh

Salary: up to £60,000

An excellent opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join a global industry-leading manufacturing company. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead process improvement projects across the site.

The Role
  • Design new systems, equipment, and processes for the introduction of new products or the improvement of existing ones.
  • Work closely with multiple departments and help deliver CI projects on time and in budget.
  • Analysing and reporting on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines and waste management.
  • Support the transition of new tools to production by designing and implementing jigs, tooling, frameworks, etc.
  • Liaise with toolmakers regarding new tools/improvements to tooling.
  • Reviewing and calculating the costs of the different tools and equipment in the production process and predicting the overheads in future production requirements.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Evaluating quality control processes and making recommendations for quality improvements.
The Person
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • 5 years experience in a similar role within manufacturing engineering or projects.
  • Experience using SolidWorks or AutoCad.
  • Experience of NPI.
