Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will be part of a team that designs and implements an organisation’s production processes. Manufacturing Engineers are responsible for maintaining and improving the efficiency and quality of the production processes to produce a better product, at a lower cost and improve the profitability of an organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work alongside our New Product Development team to ensure successful launch of new products into mass production, including:
    • Driving best practise design for manufacture and assembly
    • Determining the most efficient build sequence and assembly line layout
    • Authoring standard operating procedures (SOPs)
    • Design and manufacture of bespoke tooling, jigs and fixtures o Author and update PFMEA documentation
    • Conducting trial build events both virtually and physically
  • Drive continuous improvement on all current processes and products
  • Support issue resolution through effecting problem solving on existing production lines

Skills and Experience Required

  • The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in an engineering field (such as mechanical, chemical engineering, electrical or manufacturing).
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude with an eagerness to learn
  • Have a keen interest in manufacturing and engineering
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Aptitude for learning new techniques
  • Capable of prioritising and multi-tasking
  • Capable of working to agreed schedules
  • Capable of working as part of a multi-functional team
  • Ability to problem solve
