Join Our Metallic Manufacturing Team as a Manufacturing Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity to become part of our Metallic Manufacturing team in the role of Manufacturing Engineer.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be essential in driving continuous improvement in our machining operations. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Design, and Quality teams to enhance production efficiency, optimize processes, and ensure high-quality component delivery—contributing to our goal of being a top team in the FIA Formula One Constructors’ Championship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine manufacturing processes focusing on quality, lead time, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement best practices in CNC programming, tooling, and fixture design.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and provide technical support for efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with machinists, programmers, and supervisors to improve processes and resolve challenges.
  • Monitor quality metrics and work with QA to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and support internal audits to uphold standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Manage machining projects from concept to delivery, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare and present project updates, reports, and recommendations.
  • Train and mentor production staff on technical processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
  • Significant manufacturing engineering experience, especially in CNC machining.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code, CAM), CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and machining techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management experience with effective planning, execution, and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of quality principles including SPC and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience in cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to inspire teams around quality and performance.
  • Calm under pressure, able to meet deadlines, and maintain high standards.
  • Results-oriented with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong commitment to Health & Safety and best practices.

This is a full-time, office-based role at our Silverstone campus, with travel to other locations as needed.
