Job summary

MacLean Power Systems is seeking an engineering-minded professional to develop and improve industrial manufacturing methods. You will work on PLC programming, troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulics, and load cells, while coordinating with vendors to upgrade equipment.

The role supports production efficiency and quality, with a focus on safety and 5S standards, under supervision and with room for growth within the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 0–3 years of experience or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Willingness to learn and grow with MacLean Power.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate manufacturing capabilities, or other information to facilitate production processes.
  • Confer with vendors to determine specifications of processes and arrange equipment, material purchase and equipment.
  • Specify peripheral equipment specifications and write capital expense requests as needed.
  • Develop statements of work for equipment upgrades (Controls Upgrade).
  • Assist the Maintenance Dept when needed to return the equipment to operational standard.
  • PLC Programming with Allen Bradley, Keyence and/or Siemens.
  • Understanding and troubleshooting of load cells, Analog inputs (0-10Vdc or 4-20Ma).
  • Understanding of basic hydraulics and troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable working in 480VAC panels, for troubleshooting.
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area).
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.

Job Summary Develops, evaluates and improves industrial manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.

Job Duties

Experience and Education

  • Perform work under supervision
  • Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to more experienced staff
  • Willingness to learn and grow with Maclean Power
  • Bachelor's degree 0 to 3 years of experience preferred, or equivalent industrial experience will be considered for the right skill set.

  • Work with Vendors on equipment quotes and capital projects
  • General understanding of PLC’s; Allen Bradley, Siemens, Keyence
  • Ladder Logic understanding, programming basics
