Job Role for the Manufacturing Engineer:

Automation manufacturing support engineer to work with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to meet OTD targets and improve productivity.

  • Provide real-time technical support to resolve production issues, including equipment failures, quality concerns, and process inefficiencies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
  • Provide support for RF testing, validation, and performance verification of antenna designs and components to ensure alignment with specifications.
  • Coordinate with test department and production teams to resolve testing discrepancies or failure modes.
  • Support Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities for new and existing products.
  • Manage manufacturing activities during the transition from development to production.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive production documentation, including job routings and work instructions.
  • Conduct process simulation of manufacturing processes and optimise manufacturing workflows.
  • Monitor and analyse production data to track performance, identify trends, and suggest improvements.

The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering, or technical role, with automation experience.
  • Knowledge of implementing automation into a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing engineering projects and delivering productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems.
  • BSc (Hons) or MSc in Electronics Engineering, with experience in electronics and RF components.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction.
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
