About the Role We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our clinets Engineering team in Croydon. In this role, you will support and enhance our manufacturing operations, ensuring our processes meet quality standards while driving efficiency and improvements across products, equipment, and teams. You will become the subject matter expert on the manufacturing processes and products within the business.

What You Will Need

  • Degree, HNC, or equivalent in Engineering or a related scientific field.

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry (preferred).

  • Solid understanding of component operation principles.

  • Experience handling engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection reports.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and root cause analysis.

  • Ideally, experience with electro-mechanical systems.

  • Ability to gather, interpret, and translate requirements into practical manufacturing methods.

  • Experience in identifying and delivering process or product improvements.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to work effectively with stakeholders.

  • Ability to train, mentor, and support colleagues.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing teams to help achieve production targets.

  • Create and maintain clear process documentation and work instructions to support manufacturing.

  • Develop, qualify, and maintain manufacturing processes with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Support daily operational activities alongside manufacturing management.

  • Ensure procedures and processes align with customer and business standards.

  • Design documentation and processes with manufacturability and efficiency in mind.

  • Act as the interface between design engineering and manufacturing for product and process introduction.

  • Assist in resolving non-conformance issues in manufacturing areas.

  • Establish and track performance metrics within operational areas.

  • Liaise effectively with internal teams and external customers as needed.
