The Role

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for providing technical engineering support and expertise for new product/process introduction programs and implementing strategies to improve manufacturing process capability in current production operations. The role also includes supporting the estimation and launch of new programs (NPI) and measuring and improving existing programs within the business's continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Improve manufacturing performance regarding process capability, output, productivity, and cost.
  • Provide expert knowledge of manufacturing processes, including close tolerance machining, automation, and test systems.
  • Deliver robust manufacturing solutions for new products/components in line with the MB Aerospace NPI process, ensuring HS&E compliance, first-time quality, capacity, and cost targets.
  • Support the business with manufacturing systems, policies, and procedures, including planning documentation and routings.
  • Support quality systems, statistical methods, problem-solving techniques, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop manufacturing process documentation and training materials.
  • Estimate costs for new opportunities.
  • Develop capable processes and standard work within manufacturing engineering and operations, ensuring compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe operating environment through active engagement with 6S and HSE standards.
Job Requirements
  • Preferred: Degree in engineering or equivalent with an interest in manufacturing.
  • Minimum: HNC or equivalent with relevant industrial experience.
  • Experience in high-volume, high-precision manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of aero engine industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills leading to robust technical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid passport; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
