The primary purpose of our Manufacturing Engineers is to act as first and second tier support for the production line to ensure the delivery of quality products on schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and measure current manufacturing processes, identify waste, and set improvement targets. Promote a culture of continuous improvement through training and coaching on process enhancement techniques.
  • Monitor key metrics like product yield and wRMA rate. Lead projects to improve these metrics, measure effectiveness, and present data-driven results to stakeholders to secure resources.
  • Champion shop floor Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, establishing and enforcing standards across the manufacturing facility.
  • Design shop floor layouts for new product introductions and process re-engineering.
  • Determine tooling requirements for manufacturing and implement as needed.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and inspection checklists, in line with company standards.
  • Support vendor performance in cost, quality, and delivery; communicate issues and demonstrate improvements.
  • Ensure effective implementation of New Product Introductions (NPI) and engineering changes, ensuring products and processes are production-ready and reproducible.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, applying 5S principles.
  • Become a process expert, sharing knowledge and providing training to colleagues.
Qualifications:

A degree or HND in Manufacturing, Electronics, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing tools, delivering cost, quality, and performance improvements.
  • Structured problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Management System.
  • Project management experience, leading cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of design processes (DFx), NPI, and product lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, including production routings and BOM structures.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Assemblies, X-ray detection, vacuum systems, or Electron Microscopy, depending on area of expertise.
