Job vacancy - Manufacturing Engineer

Position: Manufacturing Engineer

This is a hands-on engineering opportunity within a collaborative production environment. You'll be part of a close-knit team focused on driving continuous improvement and delivering production excellence across the factory floor.

Key responsibilities include supporting new product introductions (NPIs), improving and implementing production processes, and introducing lean methodologies to boost efficiency and reduce waste. You'll work closely with technicians to diagnose and resolve equipment issues, update technical documentation, and support layout changes and equipment installations. There's also scope to design jigs and fixtures, run automation projects, and help with takt time analysis to optimise production KPIs.

You'll engage with a wide range of stakeholders—from shopfloor teams and engineers to external suppliers and senior management—making communication skills and a proactive mindset essential.

Education
  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (essential)
Experience
  • Engineering or production environment experience (essential)
  • PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) design, manufacture, or testing experience (desirable)
  • Experience with automation systems (desirable)
Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of electronics, including component-level knowledge (essential)
  • Awareness of lean manufacturing and process improvement methodologies (desirable)
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Windows-based systems (essential)
  • Experience with any of the following is a bonus:
  • SAP Business One
  • CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
  • Test software (e.g., LabVIEW)
