Job Description:

Our client, a leading Aerospace manufacturer, is recruiting a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Farnborough. This role involves optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring quality standards, and supporting efficient production in a dynamic aerospace environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, preferably within aerospace, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Development: Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Tooling & Fixturing: Collaborate on designing and implementing tooling and fixtures for production needs.
  • Production Support: Support daily production activities to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues promptly.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze production data to identify improvements, enhance efficiency, and maintain quality.
  • Project Management: Lead and support projects aimed at optimizing production and meeting customer requirements.
  • Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal standards; participate in audits.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote best practices through RFT principles, maintaining quality standards and documentation.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Work with external vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and process adherence.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Welding, fabrication, or metal forming experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and CAD software (e.g., Catia, SolidWorks).
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, APQP/PPAP, and quality control tools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to collaborate across teams.

Working Hours:
  • 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 12:00pm Friday (39 hours/week).
