Job summary

Auxitrol Weston, based in Farnborough, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to drive robust processes in a precision aerospace machine shop. You will develop and implement efficient manufacturing methods, challenge existing processes and deliver measurable improvements in quality, efficiency and cost.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is essential.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills are required.
• Experience supporting production and resolving technical manufacturing issues.
• HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with CAD and ERP systems; BAAN/LN experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CNC programmes, tooling registers and machine setting sheets for Mazak and DMG Mori equipment.
• Optimize machining processes, tooling, fixtures and programmes.
• Support production teams with technical problem-solving and process improvements.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop tooling, fixtures and manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain BOMs, routings, PFMEAs and manufacturing documentation within ERP systems.
• Support NPI, engineering changes and capital investment projects.
• Drive Lean activities including 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction and process optimisation.
• Support audits, MRB investigations and quality improvement activities.
• Identify opportunities to reduce scrap, rework and manufacturing costs.

Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer looking to make a real impact in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment?

Auxitrol Weston designs and manufactures high-reliability temperature, speed and pressure sensors for gas turbine and airframe applications. We're looking for a capable Manufacturing Engineer to join our Farnborough team and drive significant process improvements, productivity gains and cost savings across the machine shop.

The Role

You’ll provide technical support to production while developing and implementing robust, efficient manufacturing processes. You’ll have the opportunity to challenge existing methods, introduce new technologies and deliver measurable improvements in quality, efficiency and cost.

About You
