Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer in Leicestershire to join a well-established precision manufacturer supplying aerospace components. The role focuses on CNC programming, process improvement, and NPDI within a highly regulated environment.

You will attend daily operations meetings, create and maintain technical documentation, and drive LEAN initiatives to ensure safety, quality and efficient production while supporting tooling and customer approvals.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing environment.
• HND or higher in Engineering or similar discipline.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, manufacturing methods and interpreting complex drawings.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, ideally SolidWorks/CAM, and confident using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily operations meetings, resolve manufacturing issues and support improvements to production processes.
• Produce and maintain manufacturing documentation, including drawings, work instructions, SOPs and set-up packs.
• Support new product introduction (NPDI), including cost estimates, manufacturing routes, customer approvals and tooling requirements.
• Create and validate CNC programmes, ensuring production meets quality standards, cycle times and efficiency targets.
• Lead continuous improvement via LEAN, root-cause analysis, PFMEA, and supplier/customer issue resolution.
