Hunter Selection is working with a leading manufacturer based in Caerphilly, on the outskirts of Cardiff. This is a great opportunity to join an expanding business that has experienced sustained growth and is now introducing new products following recently won contracts. They are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to strengthen their engineering department.

This role is suitable for an experienced manufacturing engineer with a background in maintaining manufacturing processes, managing project activities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. It offers excellent benefits and job security, making it a great opportunity to join an established business.

Role and Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings to identify current and new processes required for efficient manufacture of products to customer specifications.
• Create CNC programs for new and existing products using CADCAM software and ISO code writing.
• Design jigs, fixtures, and tooling for efficient component manufacturing.
• Use customer and internal CAD data to create Bill of Materials, production routing, finishing, and packaging requirements, and accurately enter this data into the ERP system.
• Collaborate with sales and production departments to ensure projects are completed on time and meet customer satisfaction.
• Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with relevant industry standards and customer requirements.
• Work with the quality department to address customer concerns, following the 8D process for containment and implementing corrective and preventative actions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role.
• Experience with CNC Machining.
• Proficiency with CADCAM software.
• Excellent 3D CAD skills.
