Job description

Job Description

This role involves supporting manufacturing operations within the Manufacturing Engineering Team, reporting to the Lead Manufacturing Engineer. The responsibilities include developing and documenting manufacturing standard work instructions, process improvements, and ensuring process robustness. You will lead problem-solving projects, manage manufacturing documentation, support concessions and MRB activities, and coordinate process and cost reduction projects using lean manufacturing techniques. Additionally, you will participate in risk assessments and develop strong internal relationships to support business objectives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering (Physics, Chemistry, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering), or an Associate's degree with 4 years of manufacturing experience.
  • At least 3 years in a manufacturing engineering environment with knowledge of SPC, mechanical drawings, tooling, and machinery troubleshooting.
  • US Citizenship required for compliance with ITAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with concessions/MRB and frontline support in manufacturing.
  • Proficient in problem-solving techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, 8D, DMAIC).
  • Experience with process control, lean tools, and within glass processing or laminating industries.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.
  • Strong communication, multi-tasking, and data analysis skills.
