Overview

A high-impact engineering team in Oxford is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, refining processes, and driving innovation from prototype to production. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement post-processing sequences including support removal, surface finishing, heat treatment, and coating.
  • Develop and execute Design of Experiments (DOEs) to optimise and validate manufacturing steps.
  • Create detailed work instructions and documentation to ensure repeatability and quality.
  • Analyse manufacturing data to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to transition prototype processes into scalable production.
  • Support audits and technical reviews with comprehensive validation data.
Requirements

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 1 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and DOE methodologies.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX).
  • Knowledge of GD&T, measurement systems, and quality control.
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies.
Desirable
  • Advanced degree in engineering or materials science.
  • Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing.
  • Industry knowledge in aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics.
  • Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar.
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems and digital manufacturing tools.
