Job description

Engage Talent Partners are partnering with our Aberdeen-based client to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer.

Our client is an innovative and forward-thinking business entering a significant period of growth. With continued investment in their people, processes and technology, they are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support both day-to-day production activities and long-term process improvements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to join their R&D department, solving real-time issues and contributing to wider business improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with R&D, design and production teams to develop and refine new products, ensuring manufacturing processes are in place to support efficient and reliable production.
  • Take ownership of manufacturing improvement projects from planning through to implementation - coordinating technical input, overseeing contractor activity, and ensuring safe, timely delivery.
  • Identify inefficiencies or technical issues in existing manufacturing methods and work with relevant teams to develop and implement practical, sustainable process improvements.
  • Liaise with internal departments, including external contractors, to coordinate on-site work and resolve technical queries.
  • Raise and manage necessary permits and safety documentation to support controlled execution of work and adherence to site and regulatory standards.
  • Play a key role in future planning to ensure smooth implementation of product R&D developments into production.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced manufacturing professional, confident operating across departments and thriving on making things happen and getting things done. You’ll ideally come from an engineering or technical background with experience in manufacturing processes and a solid understanding of the realities of working on the shop floor. Excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment are essential.

This role offers a competitive salary, an excellent benefits package and genuine headroom for career growth within a business that values innovation and continuous improvement.
