Manufacturing Data Analyst (KTP Associate)

15-month fixed term post based at the Beverston Engineering premises in Knowsley but employed by Liverpool John Moores University

Salary £35,000

Plus a £3,000 travel and personal development budget, as well as management and leadership training provided as part of the KTP.

Beverston Engineering is a world class precision component manufacturer, specialising in the prototyping and manufacture of state of the art engineering components for industries such as aerospace, oil & gas, and pharmaceuticals, where safety and accuracy are critical.

Liverpool John Moores University and Beverston Engineering have collaborated on a Knowledge Transfer Partnerships project to develop new data mining methodologies to forecast lead times, reduce costs, inform pricing, and improve quality.

We are looking to appoint a graduate who meets the following essential criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/physical sciences
  • Experience applying technical knowledge to solve commercial problems
  • Experience managing development projects independently
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with staff at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Means of traveling to the primary place of work independently
  • Willingness and means to travel within the UK as needed
  • Must be based in the UK and have the right to work there
  • Ability to comply with the vetting requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations

Desirable additional criteria include:

  • Masters degree in engineering/physical sciences
  • Experience with PowerBI for analytics and visualization
  • Experience with ERP systems in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of CNC machining and precision engineering
  • Understanding of quality standards for CNC components
  • Proficiency with CAE software like SolidWorks, Inventor, Siemens NX
