Location: Hailsham, BN27 4EL
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours - An element of flexibility as to when hours are worked

We are now recruiting for a ManufacturingCell Leader to ensure that the cell achieves the day-to-day customer requirements in terms of Quality, Delivery and Cost and to continuously improve the performance of the team.

As our Cell Leader you will be specifically responsible for:

  • Team Leadership: Support and motivate your team, address performance issues, and act as the first point of contact for queries.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, maintain workflow, ensure cycle time adherence, and manage start-up/changeovers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives like Kaizen, 5S, and cross-training while maintaining the Training Matrix.
  • Documentation & Visual Management: Keep standard work, SQDIP boards, and production targets up to date, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
  • Collaboration: Work with the Production Manager and engineering teams to align resources and improve processes.
  • 5S & Maintenance: Promote a clean, organised environment by overseeing cleaning and maintenance schedules.
  • Customer Focus: Proactively address issues to ensure customer requirements are met.

In order to be successful in this role it's essential that you have:

  • Experience of high-level mechanical assembly's.
  • Leadership and coaching experience.
  • High level mathematics.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience in low batch low tolerance workshop environment.
  • HNC / HND Mechanical Engineering.
