Manufacturing Capability Lead

Job Purpose
Your role will be to develop a competency assessment and training approach at our manufacturing site in support of building a continuous improvement mindset and culture as well as workforce skill development at our Felling production site.

Job Responsibilities

1. Develop & implement a comprehensive in-house training framework tailored to our manufacturing processes.
2. Collaborate with colleagues to identify training needs to upskill operators & teams.
3. Oversee the onboarding process for new hires.
4. Design & facilitate delivery of training programmes.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to identify apprenticeship opportunities to effectively make use of the levy.
6. Enhance the skills of manufacturing, quality, engineering & warehousing teams through targeted initiatives.
7. Collaborate with our national network to share & implement best practices.
8. Monitor/evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes & enhance as needed.
9. Provide regular reports to the leadership team on training progress and outcomes.

Job Requirements

1. Experience of designing & facilitating training interventions.
2. Experience of coaching and/or mentoring.
3. Awareness of external benchmarking.
4. Effective project management skills.
5. Used to budget management.
