Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced engineering maintenance manager to join our state-of-the-art coffee manufacturing plant in Dalston, Cumbria. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of manufacturing machinery.
Nestlé Dalston Factory in Cumbria is the European hub for cappuccino and creamers, producing a range of beverage products through automated PLC-controlled processes and packing lines. The factory is expanding and implementing Lean/TPM principles, making this an exciting time to join.

A Day in the LifeReporting to the Factory Engineering Manager, you will lead engineering operations, manage equipment reliability, and develop strategies to optimize maintenance and technical skills.
Your responsibilities include both planned and reactive maintenance, approached from strategic and budget perspectives.
What Will Make You SuccessfulThe ideal candidate will have experience in engineering leadership within FMCG manufacturing, preferably with a background in food production.
Key criteria include:
- Degree/Diploma/HNC in Mechanical, Electrical & Automation, Process, Industrial Engineering, or similar
- Strong leadership and coaching skills for technical teams
- Extensive knowledge of Asset Maintenance in an FMCG setting
- A safety-conscious attitude (specific safety qualifications are not mandatory)
