A leading precision engineering company is seeking a Manufacturing & Assembly Manager to oversee shop floor operations at their state-of-the-art facility in Ellesmere Port. The role involves capacity planning, resource allocation, and leading continuous improvement projects. This is an opportunity for an ambitious precision engineering production, operations, manufacturing manager to take responsibility for leading all shop floor operations at the main European manufacturing site for Cook Compression at Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. This is an 8,000m2 state-of-the-art facility, featuring a suite of fully automated, up to 9-axis CNC machining centres, where we are performing the full end-to-end manufacturing process for a wide range of engineered and made-to-order reciprocating compressor components such as valves, pistons, rings, rods, and packing cases.
The role will include capacity planning, labour and resource allocation, workforce cross-training and development, and managing a wide range of strategic and continuous improvement projects, whilst building a culture of trust-based communication.
With a focus on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development, the Manufacturing & Assembly Manager will report to the Plant Manager and take the lead in driving efficiency improvements through the achievement of KPIs, Operational Excellence, and team growth, whilst significantly contributing to the wider overall business goals.
