Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Applications Engineer to support development and manufacturing of modules for medical, automotive, and optical markets.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to influence the product development cycle from R&D to high-volume production. You will develop, configure, test, and maintain manufacturing software, integrate with ERP and SQL databases, and create dashboards and reports to improve production and engineering processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, software or manufacturing engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience developing or supporting applications in a manufacturing environment.
• Programming skills in C#, Java, Python, or .NET; strong SQL experience.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or SSRS; good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, test, and maintain manufacturing applications and software solutions.
• Integrate manufacturing applications with ERP, SQL databases, and other enterprise systems.
• Develop workflows, dashboards, and reporting solutions to support production/engineering processes.
• Collaborate with cross functional engineering teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, system specs, and user guides.
