Job description

A well-established Aerospace manufacturing customer of ours are seeking a skilled Welder to join their high-performing team. The organisation specialises in the production of pipe and tube assemblies, ducts, manifolds, fabrications, sub-assemblies, sheet and machined components, and specialist fasteners. Supporting both civil and military aerospace sectors, the company serves OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers with a range of services, including polishing and non-destructive testing for both airframe and engine applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual welding of metal pipes, tubing, and components.
  • Set up and calibrate welding equipment to match required program specifications.
  • Carry out orbital welding processes on metal pipes and tubing.
  • Prepare tubes for welding, including ultrasonic cleaning and manual/automatic cutting.

Requirements:

  • Recognised qualification in welding.
  • Strong organisational skills, with experience in Continuous Improvement initiatives preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Proficient in analysing and applying data to support quality and efficiency improvements.
  • Self-motivated and capable of performing under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-quality aerospace environment.
  • Prior experience in the aerospace industry is desirable.
