Job summary

Stirling Warrington Ltd in Rugby is seeking a Manual Turner to join a nights-based, hands-on team working on one-off and small-batch projects. You will operate manual centre lathes, including heavy-duty machines, and interpret drawings to determine machining operations.

The ideal candidate has five years’ experience in manual turning or machining, with Colchester lathe experience, and strong use of micrometers and verniers. For more information contact Ewan Smyth at Stirling Warrington.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in manual turning or machining.
• Experience working on Colchester lathes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings with attention to detail.
• Use of micrometers, verniers and other quality measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Machining one-off or small batch projects.
• Breakdown, repair and modification work.
• Work from technical drawings and specifications to determine machining operations.
• Work on internal and external threads.

Title:Manual Turner
Location:Rugby
Salary: £40,500 – £44,850 Per Annum
Shift:Weekends (Friday – Sunday, 34.5 Hours)

A great opportunity to join a team on nightsworking within multiple sectorsas a manual turner. You’ll play a key role in working on one-off and small batch projects, this is a hands on position which will involve using a range of manual machines.

Manual Turner Responsibilities:

• Operate manual centre lathes, including Heavy duty machines
• Machining one-off or small batch projects
• Breakdown, repair and modification work
• Work from technical drawings and specifications to determine machining operations
• Working on internal and external threads

Manual Turner Experience:

• Five years’ experience in a Manual turning or machining position
• Previous experience working on Colchester lathes
• Ability to interpret technical drawings with excellent attention to detail
• Quality measuring devices micrometres, verniers, etc.
