Job Overview

An opportunity has become available for a Manual Mail Operator to join one of many Paragon manufacturing sites across the UK, based in Wymondham. The site specialises in production of outbound and inbound document services. It contains printing, mailing, and warehousing capabilities for outbound mail and postal receipt, scanning, and document storage for inbound mail. Additionally, the site hosts Production Services, Finance, and IT functions. Both Inbound and Outbound operations serve multiple customers.

Working as part of a team in a production environment, this role involves providing early morning support and preparing the work area for the enclosing team.

Hours: 35 hours per week, Mon-Fri - 8am to 4pm or 6am to 2pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manually fulfil envelopes with pre-printed letters, marketing, and compliance materials in preparation for collection to the sealing and dispatch area.
  • Book out work using the Prod MI system.
  • Complete all allocated work in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities on Prod MI.
  • Notify the stock runner of any required stock.
  • Ensure all work is sealed and prepared for dispatch to the correct mail service providers (Royal Mail, UK Mail, Whistl, etc).
  • Transport work to the warehouse in time for mail collection.
  • Complete late work to meet the last dispatch at 18:00.
  • Return unused stock to its correct location on the production floor.
  • Adhere to quality and output targets and be willing to undertake additional tasks as needed.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Basic PC skills to check stock and book work on the Prod MI system.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience working under tight deadlines.
  • Mailroom experience is beneficial.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Self-motivated, organised, with a focus on SLA.
  • Effective communicator and delegator.
