The Company
Interaction Technical are supporting a well-established, global supplier of materials for the Research & Development industry in their search for a Manual Machinist with turning and/or milling experience to join their team based in Huntingdon. With decades of experience supporting cutting-edge research and innovation, the company is expanding its R&D capabilities and seeking a skilled machinist to support prototype and low-volume production work.

The Role
• Machine components to tight tolerances using manual turning and milling machines
• Cut raw materials using bandsaws and guillotines in preparation for machining
• Ensure all components are machined to a high standard and meet engineering specifications
• Carry out and promote continuous improvements within the production department
• Communicate effectively with engineering and design teams to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow all health and safety procedures
The Requirements
• Previous experience as a manual turner and miller (essential)
• Confident in using bandsaws, guillotines, and other workshop equipment (essential)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (essential)
• A proactive attitude and desire to progress (essential)
• Relevant engineering qualifications (advantageous)
