Overview

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting for a Manual Machinist on a permanent basis with our client in Sheffield. Immediate start available (subject to interview process). Rate of pay is £16.12 per hour. This role is 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings
• Set up and operate manual lathes/milling machines from scratch, including selecting tooling
• Manufacture new parts and repair existing parts on manual lathes/milling machines
• Mount and dismount workpieces on/from lathe or milling machine
• Perform roughing and finishing operations
• Select cutting tools for machining operations
• Check finished pieces to ensure they comply with technical drawings
• Produce batch work and one-offs as required
