Manual Machinist
Manual Machinist Salary: £16 - £19

The company is known for its commitment to stringent quality standards, utilising state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques to produce parts with exceptional accuracy. Its services range from CNC and manual machining to assembly and finishing, with a focus on delivering reliable and durable solutions.

Daily Responsibilities:

As a Manual Machinist, your main duties will include:

  1. Operating manual lathes and mills, with use of XYZ machines.
  2. Ensuring precise machining, working to tight tolerances, and producing excellent surface finishes both internally and externally.
  3. Cutting threads and spot-facing on manual machines.
  4. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  5. Inspecting machined components using bore comparators, micrometers, vernier callipers, and air gauges.
What Else:
  1. This Manual Machinist role requires adaptability to cover various departmental tasks, especially during single-point failures.
  2. Experience within the aerospace sector and a solid understanding of AS9100 standards and material traceability is essential.
  3. Further training will be provided for assembly-related tasks, making it an excellent opportunity for skilled machinists looking to diversify their abilities.
  4. A Manual Machinist should be time-served or apprentice-trained, with a high level of experience in manual machining and fitting techniques.
