Job summary

The Mandatory Training and Professional Development Funding Senior Lead will be accountable for mandatory training and eLearning at University Hospitals Dorset. This role will contribute to the delivery of high quality, evidence-based care that meets local and national indicators. The post holder will act as an expert resource and role model in all education matters, both internally and when representing the Trust with external partners.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) funding from NHS England and overseeing the Trust's Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) process.

Main duties of the job
  1. Strategically lead and oversee all aspects of mandatory training and eLearning.
  2. Manage and be accountable for CPD funding and the Learning Needs Analysis (LNA).
  3. Ensure robust systems for governance and performance management of national standards, including reporting to the Trust Board on standards and governance related to CPD and LNA monies from NHS England.
  4. Commission high-quality, evidence-based mandatory training and eLearning programs.
  5. Coordinate high-quality educational provision as identified in the Training Needs Analysis, both internally and externally from Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) and other sources.
  6. Work in partnership with Bournemouth University.

Other changes not related to relocation will be managed according to relevant Trust or National terms and conditions.
