Job summary

Bank of China London Branch is seeking a Senior Associate Market and Credit Risk (Mandarin speaking) to monitor and report market risk and counterparty credit risk across the London Trading Centre and Group subsidiaries in Europe and Africa.

The role requires strong English and Mandarin communication, a relevant degree, and familiarity with financial markets. A permanent, full-time position with opportunities for training and progression is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree educated in Banking, Finance, Accounting, or related subject.
• Professional qualification in financial markets (e.g. CFA, FRM) preferred.
• Experience in trading, treasury, risk management, or related financial markets areas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out risk control activities on market risk and counterparty credit risk for London Trading Centre and European entities.
• Support updates to policies and procedures for counterparty credit risk and market risk controls.
• Issue risk opinions on significant or emerging risks to business units.
• Investigate and approve or reject hard-blocked transactions.
• Review and approve IT system user applications and set up system parameters.
• Assist with new staff training and cover for team members when required.
