Job summary

People First Recruitment is seeking a Mandarin-speaking IT Support specialist for our Central London IT Centre. You will provide first-line Help Desk support across Europe, manage user IDs and access, and assist with system changes and maintenance.

This permanent, office-based role offers a 36-hour week, salary dependent on experience, and requires fluent English and Mandarin, strong problem solving, and experience with Windows, SharePoint, and security basics.

• Run daily operational duties and batch jobs

Job description

Salary: £36,000 - 72,000 per year

Requirements

• Fluent in Mandarin
• IT support-related experience
• Degree preferably in Information Technology, Computing, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Science in Information Technology, or another relevant subject
• Proven track record in a similar role
• Experience in PC support, such as PC installation and printer setup
• Experience troubleshooting Windows 10 and 11
• Experience in OA system maintenance, particularly MS Office, MS Outlook, SharePoint, IE, Chrome, and Lotus Notes
• Experience in database management
• Knowledge of Information Security, Cyber Security, and GDPR
• Good problem-solving skills
• Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist our Help Desk first line support for IT Centre (Europe), including Help Desk cases, user ID management, production access, and Head Office service requests, and manage the workflow of these requests
• Carry out first line maintenance for machine room environment and devices, and support second line engineers with system changes and maintenance
• Monitor production systems and applications and follow incident management procedures to deal with critical messages
• Perform first line handling of system and network alerts
• Carry out daily operational duties and run batch jobs
• Assist in producing system and network reports for management and branches

We are an IT Centre (Europe) overseeing and managing the secure operations of IT applications and front-end systems used in branches and representative offices across Europe and Africa. This is a Mandarin-speaking IT Support role based in Central London, office-based, with a 36-hour working week covering either three night shifts or a mix of one night shift and two daytime weekend shifts on a rotational basis. The role is permanent and available to start as soon as possible. The salary is depending on experience.
