Job Description:

This is a lovely role for a qualified or part-qualified ACCA ACCOUNTANT who is based either in the MANCHESTER area. The company has 210 staff and has carved out a niche in dealing with owner-managed businesses. This feature is a result of the entrepreneurial mindset evident in the culture of the firm itself and underpins the kind of M&A deals undertaken. Projects are always partner-based (which is unusual) and have a high success rate. THE ROLE:

Manage, oversee and complete audit assignments:

1. Work closely with clients
2. Review the work completed by your team
3. Prepare and monitor budgets
4. Work to completion deadlines
5. Ensure all auditing compliance standards and guidelines are adhered to
6. Risk Assessment: Identify and assess business risks and implement effective controls

Team Management:

1. Coach and manage the team
2. Develop and mentor talent
3. Address team performance & address shortfalls in a collaborative manner
4. Liaise across the firm with all departments to ensure seamless service delivery

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Qualified or part-qualified Accountant: ACCA/equivalent qualified accountant
2. Audit Practice Experience
3. Technical Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting and auditing standards, including FRS and IFRS
4. Experience of Caseware and CCH (helpful, not essential)
