Job summary

Eden Scott is recruiting for a Managing Quantity Surveyor in Dundee to lead the commercial delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects, including luxury housing and major refurbishments.

You will mentor a small team, oversee cost control, procurement and risk management, and work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure profitable project outcomes and client satisfaction.

• Proven track record as Senior/Managing Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Experience leading a small team and mentoring.

Job description

A Managing Quantity Surveyor is required to join the commercial team of a well-established and rapidly growing privately owned construction contractor based in Dundee. Reporting into senior commercial leadership, you will oversee the commercial delivery of a diverse portfolio of construction projects including luxury housing developments, student accommodation, care facilities, high-end refurbishments and major cultural schemes. This is a key appointment within a business experiencing fantastic growth. Alongside taking commercial ownership of projects, you will lead, mentor and develop a small team of Quantity Surveyors, providing guidance, support and commercial oversight while helping establish best practice across the wider business. Working closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders, you'll be instrumental in driving commercial performance, managing risk and supporting the continued growth of the Dundee based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost management, procurement, subcontractor administration, valuations, variations, forecasting, CVRs, final accounts and client relationship management, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and commercially controlled throughout their lifecycle. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an established Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step into a management role, or an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor seeking a platform for further career progression within a growing business. Future expansion plans are expected to create significant opportunities for advancement into senior commercial leadership positions.
