Job summary

Carnell Support Services in the UK is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead and develop a commercial team, delivering cost-managed highways and infrastructure projects across client sites.

You will collaborate with operations and estimating teams, drive from tender to final account, and ensure financial performance while maintaining safety and quality in delivery.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive civil engineering experience, ideally highways or structures.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Experience leading and developing commercial teams.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and financial management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of Quantity Surveyors.
  • Collaborate with operational and estimating teams.
  • Manage commercial delivery from tender to final account.
  • Support cost control, forecasting and financial performance.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
