Our client, a leading multinational bank, is seeking a Managing Director to join the Sponsor Coverage team as a key member focused on the UK market. The role involves originating and executing sponsor-led transactions, managing relationships with financial sponsors, and collaborating with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate, coordinate, and manage relationships between the bank and Financial Sponsors, mainly infrastructure investors.
  • Build and maintain a network of internal and external stakeholders to foster future business opportunities.
  • Coordinate early-stage transaction execution and liaise with product specialists across lending, capital markets, advisory, and risk solutions.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in international wholesale banking, either in corporate credit & banking, leveraged lending, capital markets, or corporate finance advisory.
  • Strong track record in leveraged finance, acquisition finance, M&A, and corporate finance
  • Experience across Renewables, Energy or Energy Transition
  • Deep knowledge of private equity sponsor dynamics
