We are looking for a Managing Director or General Manager who has current, or recent experience of managing a UK Sales & Service office, or a British manufacturer of food processing &/or packaging machinery supplied to the food industry. Success in this role could lead to prospects for future career development worldwide.

BASIC SALARY: circa £150,000
BENEFITS:

LOCATION: This role is office based and ideally, you will live between London and Birmingham.

The company will consider someone who can relocate.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Managing Director, General Manager - food processing, packaging machinery, Automate, PPMA
As Managing Director of the company's UK business, you will have full Profit & Loss responsibility of a circa £40 million turnover business which employs circa 100 people. You will be leading a team of managers responsible for Sales, Service / Aftersales, Sales Support, Engineering / Workshop, Finance & HR.

We have grown by 300% in the last 15 years and are looking for the right leader to build on this success.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Managing Director, General Manager - food processing, packaging machinery, Automate, PPMA
You MUST have a proven track record as a Managing Director or General Manager - specifically with current or recent experience of managing a UK Sales & Service office, or a manufacturer of food process &/or packaging machinery.
You will have a deep understanding of the UK food processing / manufacturing sector.
You will have had previous experience and a track record of success in both sales management and sales of food process & packaging machinery to the food industry.
You will be a 'hands on' leader with excellent attention to detail skills, and you will be a driven and strategic thinker.
Any business management or relevant technical qualifications would also be advantageous.
