Job summary

Euro Projects Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Managing Director for an established SME with a £16m turnover, operating across engineering, manufacturing and distribution sectors. The role spans Leeds and Sheffield as the main HQ, with genuine autonomy to drive performance and growth under PLC backing.

The position offers £120,000–£130,000 salary plus a car and package, with strong emphasis on P&L responsibility, leadership, and strategic development of the business.

Qualifications

• Commercially astute, hands-on leader with SME experience in engineering, manufacturing or distribution.
• Previous MD, General Manager, Sales Director or Commercial Director ready to step up.
• Must have loyalty/tenure on CV and strong P&L responsibility.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop a management team.
• Experience in technical distribution, engineering, industrial products or related B2B environment would be advantageous.

• Group has an operating profit of £327m. This is an MD jobs role in a subsidiary business t/o of £16m approx.

• Managing Director jobs role – we would also consider experienced Sales Directors, General Managers or Commercial Directors looking to step up.

What are we looking for?

You may already be a Managing Director or General Manager, or be a Sales Director or Commercial Director ready to take the next step.

Ideally, you will bring:

• An MD wanting to work for a sales/commercially focused business involved in manufacturing, engineering and industrial sectors

• A Sales Director or Managing Director seeking MD jobs in an already successful business. A chance to really grow and continue the success

• Must have SME experience and length of tenure on CV - the business values loyalty.

• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L responsibility.

• A track record of improving performance, profitability or growth.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop a management team.
