Managing Consultant

Cegal EnergyX is a suite of intelligent applications for the energy sector that streamline business processes through automation and exception-based workflows. These solutions are currently used in Oil & Gas for Hydrocarbon Accounting and Production Data Management across the globe. Our solutions Operation, Dispatch, Cargo & Control cover every part of the Hydrocarbon Accounting Value Chain from Well to Revenue.

We are looking for an experienced new colleague bringing expertise in Hydrocarbon Accounting and Production Data Management to join our growing team in Aberdeen. As a Managing Consultant, you will support our customers in implementing, integrating and improving our solutions. This involves taking a leading role in managing client deliveries and being a trusted advisor providing strategic and operational guidance.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of hydrocarbon accounting (HCA) projects, from planning through implementation.
  • Define project activities, estimate effort, and support effective planning and resource management.
  • Act as the primary client contact for requirements gathering, progress updates, and technical discussions.
  • Analyze and interpret functional and non-functional requirements to guide solution design.
  • Create detailed design documentation and configure HCA solutions accordingly.
  • Ensure solutions align with established business processes and industry best practices for HCA/PDMS.
  • Mentor junior consultants to support team development and knowledge sharing.

Who are you?

  • Ideally 10+ years in the Oil & Gas Industry (Upstream or Midstream).
  • Experience in Hydrocarbon Accounting / Production Data Management Solutions and Business processes e.g., Energy Components, EnergySys, Axis etc.
  • Experience leading projects and client meetings.
  • Proficient with SQL. Expertise within PowerBI, Docker Swarm and/or Java is beneficial.
