The Role:

We are looking for a forensic accountant to serve as a Managing Consultant in London to join our growing global Business Insurance Claims practice within our Economics, Disputes and Investigations division. Our practice works with various clients across the legal and Insurance sectors and specializes in the review and measurement of complex financial losses of various scopes and sizes.

This position requires a strong communicator with strong analytical ability and a desire to advance within the organisation. The work of a Manager will involve both execution and oversight of engagement work streams, and responsibilities include:

  • Analysis of financial statements and accounting records
  • Quantification of lost earnings in multimillion-pound business interruption claims
  • Managing multiple small and large projects concurrently
  • Working independently as well as part of larger project teams
  • Direct client communications
  • Training and management of junior staff, and quality control
  • Design of complex Excel models involving financial and statistical analysis
  • Development and presentation of client deliverables to a high standard, including drafting and reviewing expert reports for BRG’s experts
  • Management of client relationships, industry research that is well considered and accurate, contribute to the expansion of BRG’s business
  • Continue to expand firm-building activities by assuming managerial roles in the office for such functions as recruiting, training and staff coordination
  • Participate in developing project proposals and other business development activities with experts

Qualifications:

  • ACA / FCA or equivalent qualification is essential.

Skills, knowledge and experience:

  • 5 years post-qualification experience, ideally with experience in Business interruption claims analysis or lost profits analysis on litigation matters
  • Strong analytical skills and high levels of business and financial acumen with the ability to learn and understand a client’s financial and operation strategies and objectives
  • Previous experience within a consulting/professional services, loss adjusting, or Legal environment
  • Evidence of project-based consulting services delivery, ideally on your own and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and oral communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Clear focus on understanding and exceeding client expectations.
