Job description

Introduction

Inner Circle is a 21st-century consultancy addressing modern challenges, aiming to deliver robust public services and vibrant communities so everyone can enjoy a good quality of life. Our core mission focuses on the big challenges faced by local government and its partners. Our success depends on cultivating future leaders capable of maintaining their organisations' relevance and sustainability amidst societal inequalities and public response shortcomings.

We seek exceptional individuals who are adaptable, flexible, and capable of applying their skills across various sectors and client environments. We operate as an independent consultancy, embed within client organisations, or lead specialist advisory groups.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Managing Consultant committed to creating meaningful, lasting community impacts through innovative place-shaping strategies.

As a Managing Consultant, you will be part of the senior management team, managing staff, leading complex projects, and generating new business opportunities. If you are driven by community development and growth in the UK, this role offers a significant opportunity to make a difference.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience, recognized expertise, and a track record of leading major, critical projects in both public and private sectors, with deep knowledge of public sector policies and issues.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Project Management: Leading and managing large, complex programmes, serving as the main client contact, leading multidisciplinary teams, delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards, and managing project risks.
  • Business Development: Securing new clients, recruiting staff, maintaining high-quality standards, participating in networking and client engagement, leading R&D initiatives, and managing staff performance and development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with senior public and private sector leaders, presenting findings clearly to non-technical audiences, and ensuring successful project delivery through teamwork.

Benefits include private healthcare, optical and dental care, employee assistance programs, pension plans, generous holiday allowance, sick pay, income protection, hybrid working arrangements, training and development opportunities, and performance bonuses.
