Job summary

Blaymires Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Managing Building Surveyor to join an established property and construction consultancy near Southampton, Hampshire. The role involves leading a team of surveyors, delivering a range of building surveying services, and managing client relationships.

The successful candidate will be Chartered (MRICS) or working towards it, with strong project management and leadership capabilities, and a track record across multiple sectors. Hybrid working is offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Building Surveyors and deliver building surveying services across public and private sectors.

• Manage contract administration, condition surveys, dilapidations and technical reporting.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a point of contact for senior stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest standards.

Blaymires Recruitment is working with an established property and construction consultancy based near Southampton that is searching for a Managing Building Surveyor to join their team.

The business specialises in supporting clients with cladding combustibility risk, defects, and remedial works, and is currently managing a variety of projects across social housing, private landlords and management companies.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Managing Building Surveyor or Senior Building Surveyor to step up and join a growing consultancy where you will play a key role in managing and leading a team of building surveyors who are undertaking project management duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Building Surveyors and deliver a range of building surveying services across public and private sectors.
• Mentor and oversee junior surveyors, supporting their professional development and APC progression.
• Manage contract administration, condition surveys, dilapidations and technical reporting.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a point of contact for senior stakeholders.
